There's a big difference between a yard that's just growing and one that's actually taken care of. This Cicero property is a great example of what happens when every detail gets attention - from the front beds all the way to the backyard garden.

Out front, the stone retaining wall borders wrap the arborvitae beds cleanly, keeping the mulch where it belongs and giving the planting areas a defined, structured look. Fresh dark mulch through the beds does a lot of work - it locks in moisture, cuts down on weeds, and makes the greenery pop. That contrast between the deep mulch and the lush trimmed grass is hard to miss.

The backyard garden is where things get really interesting. The circular raised bed with its stacked stone border houses a full mix of plantings - hostas, boxwoods, ornamental shrubs - all freshly mulched and neatly maintained. A yard like this takes ongoing care to stay looking this sharp. It doesn't just happen.

We handled the mowing, mulching, and bed cleanup throughout the property. Getting everything looking cohesive - front to back - is kind of the whole point. When the lawn is tight and the beds are clean, the whole yard reads completely differently from the street.

Details matter. A clean mow line against a freshly mulched bed, trimmed evergreens that aren't overgrown, mulch that's actually fresh and not a year old and grey - these are the things that separate a yard that looks maintained from one that just looks okay.
