This yard had a real erosion problem along the driveway edge. Without a proper wall holding things back, soil was going nowhere good. So we came in, built a block retaining wall, brought in fresh topsoil, seeded the area, and laid straw matting over the top to protect it while the grass gets established.

The wall itself is built with solid concrete block - stacked clean and tight right along the driveway. It follows the grade naturally, with a stepped corner that handles the elevation change without looking forced. That kind of detail matters. A wall that looks right and holds right is the whole point.

The topsoil and seeding step is something a lot of people skip or hand off to chance. We don't do that. Fresh soil gives the seed a proper base, and the straw matting keeps everything from washing away before roots have a chance to take hold. It's a simple step that makes a big difference in how well the grass actually fills in.

Projects like this one in Noblesville come together when every piece gets done right - not just the wall, not just the seed, but all of it treated as one complete job. That's how you end up with a yard that looks sharp and holds up long-term.
