Boulder Wall and Custom Plant Install in Noblesville

Here's what we were working with - an overgrown front bed with an old, moss-covered brick border that had seen better days. The plantings had taken over, there was no real structure, and the front of the house just didn't have a finished look to it. A great home deserves a front yard that holds its own.

We cleared everything out and started fresh. The old brick edging came out and in its place we set a natural boulder wall to define the bed. Boulders like these do something brick and plastic edging just can't - they add weight, permanence, and a look that actually belongs in the landscape rather than sitting on top of it.

Once the wall was in, we moved into the plant design and installation. We kept it intentional - columnar evergreens for vertical structure, low globe shrubs across the front for consistency, and a Japanese maple as a focal point with some flowering shrubs to add color. Every plant was chosen to work together as the bed fills in over time.

We also seeded the front lawn area and covered it with straw to get new grass established. That's the part people sometimes overlook - the lawn is just as much a part of curb appeal as the bed itself. Getting it right from the ground up means the whole front of the property comes together.

The difference between before and after on this one is hard to miss. Clean edges, the right plants in the right places, and a boulder wall that will hold up for years without shifting or deteriorating. That's what a well-planned landscape install looks like.
